A local taxi firm, based in Blyth, since 1985.

Phoenix Taxis has been taking people around south-east Northumberland since 1985. Today we run over 170 vehicles and work with around 200 drivers, and we complete more than 50,000 journeys a month across Blyth, Cramlington, Ashington, Morpeth, the villages in between, North Tyneside and Newcastle.

How we work

One office, always staffed. Our call takers in Blyth answer the phone 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
Checked drivers. Every driver holds an enhanced DBS check, and we run our own regular right-to-work checks.
Looked-after cars. Most of the fleet is owned by Phoenix. Our own garage maintains it, and every car is checked daily through our SmartCheck system.
Fixed prices in the app, live tracking, and card payment in every car.

More than local taxis

Alongside everyday trips, we run home-to-school transport, including SEND, and NHS patient transport for three councils and NHS trusts, and business accounts for local employers.
